What did we do in the Summer?

Summer 2009 was a bit quieter at Lollipops. Probably the credit crunch, Swine Flu, late holiday and the early booking cut off time. We will review the cut off time for 2010 as it may have been a bit too early this year.

However the week we did have was fun packed as usual. We did a tribute to the wonderful MAMA MIA stage show and film. We put together, over two sessions, an abridged version of the show, and the kids interpretation, even if i do say so myself, was fantastic!. All the children involved worked really hard and had a lot of fun learning lyrics from the show, and of course the famous Dancing Queen routine as seen in the film. Thanks Kids!....Please check out the October Spooky Halloween dates above

What did we do in MAY?

We went back to the 70's!!!

Lots of fun was had learning new dance routines and dressing up in 1970's fashion, complete with glam rock glitter make up, flares and platform shoes!

The children still cant believe we used to wear those clothes for real! and that the shoes were so big and high! The pictures below show some of the things we did. The Jacksons, Village People. Glam Rock Bands and Elton John & Kiki Dee.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will be doing some more in the summer as well as going further back to the 1960's with our own THAT'LL BE THE DAY show.

What happened summer 2007???

Find out below

A fun packed four weeks at the LOLLIPOPS FUN CLUBS was had by all that attended through Summer 2007. The workshops were based around some of the best known West End Shows and Disney Classics.

LION KING, GREASE, SOUND OF MUSIC, ALADDIN, PETER PAN & HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

The children had lots of fun rehearsing, learning small dance routines and play role acting from each of the shows. Each week, a different show was included and to make things even more exciting we themed all our games and activities around the shows that we were doing that week. The best part was when we invited the Mums and Dads at the end of each session to watch our sketches, routines and songs to see just what we had achieved in such a short period of time. You can be assured that this is the children's favourite part. We at LOLLIPOPS would like to thank all the children who attended and helped us have a truly memorable summer. We look forward to seeing you all in the October Half Term break.

See you then!
